// TUESDAY MARCH 22ND 2011

I got pretty excited recently when i received an invite from the SOOPER DOOPER talented Jessica Hische to be part of her Guest Daily Drop Cap project which is sort of celebrating the end to her Daily Drop Cap project she started in 2009. I think it's the most awesome ongoing project and praise Jessica for sticking at it for so long. Ahhh the discipline. And so naturally when asked i was like HECK YES I'D LIKE TO PLAY! And now... badda bing, badda boom, my dropcap is online. WARNING: It may make you crave chocolate! You see I was given the Letter U to play with which, at first was a little hard until the word 'VOWEL' popped into my head and whammo... out popped the Chocoalte coated Vowel idea. I think it wood be really neat if you could actually buy these as chocolate bars. I think i might complete the flavors aswell... so stay tuned for A... E.... I and O coming to a confectionary stand near you soon. Enjoy!

// WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 2ND 2011

As a keynote speaker at this years OFFF Festival in Barcelona I was asked to submit two NEW artworks for their festival book. This years theme was YEAR ZERO which was difficult to interpret at first until I thought to myself 'what if Fred Flintstone owned a DINER and he's hot wife Wilma was the waitress?' Answer: FAST FREDS Diner. Where the burgers are always MAMMOTH! I had fun making this artwork and tried a few new techniques aswell.

// FRIDAY JANUARY 28TH 2011

I've just finished working on this type & illustration piece for Gopher Illustrated magazine. The story is about this guy who's name i wish to forget who was pretty much responsible for the death and slaughter of evry last standing wild plains buffalo during the late 1800's to make way for white agriculture. So so sad! I didn't really enjoy the story all that much but i enjoyed drawing this artwork.

// TUESDAY DECEMBER 14TH 2010

Some latest happenings from the News Dept... I've recently been invited to speak at the 2011 OFFF FESTIVAL in Barcelona next year which i'm pretty chuffed about. Going to Spain is one thing but speaking alongside the likes of Alex Trochut, Stefan Sagmeister, Jon Burgerman, Si Scott, Brosmind, Eboy, Geoff McFetridge amongst many other talented folk? Well, does it get much better than that? It's going to be a hoot. I hope Europe is ready for a fast talking tall creative ninja from downunder.

In other news I have recently been invited to join the JACKY WINTER Group representing Australian illustrators which i'm very pleased about. They have an amazing roster of creative kids worth checking out. Stay tuned for some exciting projects down the road out of this collaboration.

// MONDAY DECEMBER 13TH 2010

I have just finished a really neat 4 colour screenprint illustration for a Romanian tshirt brand called MAMAGAMA. Mamagama is a tshirt brand designed for pregnant women and they came to me asking for a kitsch style graphic to fit their Urban range of tees for soon to be moms. So this is what i did. I had some fun with this design... it's cheeky, it's a little weird but totally cool. Stay tuned for more information on when the tees will be released.
